Fira and Firó de Sóller
The second Sunday of May is the day of "Sa Fira" and the following day is "Es Firó", one of the best known popular festivals in Mallorca. It commemorates the arrival of Turkish and Algerian corsairs to the port of Sóller on May 11, 1561, which led to a bloody battle with the inhabitants of the town, who took to the streets to defend the town. Among firecrackers, loud booms and bangers, the "sollerics" relive this historical event, which ends in victory for the Christians.
Feria de la Naranja (Orange Fair)

Sóller, also known as "the valley of oranges", is famous for the cultivation of this citrus fruit, and in this fair you can find a flea market with all kinds of products made with this fruit, as well as activities, workshops, competitions, etc. The restaurants of Sóller and Puerto de Sóller join the celebration offering different culinary propositions with orange as the main ingredient.
Sant Pere Festival
A celebration that extols the seafaring roots of the Santa Catalina district of Puerto de Sóller, with a wide variety of cultural and sporting events.
Mare de Déu del Carme Festival
Once again, the sea is the main protagonist of this festivity. In this case, the sailors and fishermen of Puerto de Sóller deck out their boats to participate in a spectacular nighttime procession in honor of their patron saint.
Sant Bartomeu Festival
On August 24 the festival of Sant Bartomeu, dedicated to the patron saint of Sóller, is celebrated. A wide variety of events are organized and also a correfoc (”fire run”), which symbolizes hell taking over the Earth. A group of local demons, "Esclatabutzes", conquers the Plaza de la Constitución and the event ends with a water party where firefighters spray water on the attendees.
Serra de Tramuntana Sea Fair
This fair is organized in September, filling Puerto de Sóller with activities related to the sea, sailing and the union of the Serra with the Mediterranean. In the gastronomic exhibition you cannot miss the exquisite seafood dishes and the night of habaneras.
Puerto de Sóller Classical Music Festival
Classical music lovers can enjoy this autumn festival, held in the incomparable setting of the Museu de la Mar de Sóller (Former Oratory of Santa Catalina de Alejandría).
Municipal Market
Fruit, vegetables, meat, fish... find first class culinary products, with local suppliers and produce. From the field to the shopping cart! Monday to Saturday from 9am to 1pm.
Weekly Market
The Sóller plaza is filled with craft stalls and local products, through which you can stroll and experience a great atmosphere every Saturday morning from 8am to 1pm. There is also another weekly market on Thursdays in Puerto de Sóller, very close to the Hotel Eden Sóller, which is worth a visit.
